March was Women’s History Month. Many of us quietly honored the women we admire; notable leaders, historical figures, fictional heroines, and our mothers, sisters and friends. But what about ourselves?
Women are incredible.
As March ends and April begins, we are grateful for the amazing women who walk into our studio every single day.
Like the client who shows up cheerful and ready to work her ass off in class, even though she is recovering from a traumatic brain injury that changed her life.
Or the first-time mom who happily drags herself out of bed despite being kept up most of the night by a crying baby.
And then there are the new clients who attend their first class a little intimated and uncertain if it’s right for them. The workout blows them away – and they come back for more.
We’ve all been there.
Many women don’t take time for themselves. We try to do too much and often put others’ needs ahead of our own. We put pressure on ourselves to be perfect at all costs. We juggle work, friends, parents, kids, significant others, sleeping, and more – all in only 24 hours a day. There never seems to be enough time.
But once inside 245 Pine, you are all that matters.
The Lagree Method takes focus. The workout makes it difficult to think about anything other than what your instructor is saying and wondering if your legs are going to turn to mush. It’s also a blast. So is the positive energy, friendship and camaraderie in the room.
Come to class. Get stronger. Celebrate being an amazing woman.
And for just 50 minutes a day, put yourself first.
